While initially CCIs will be designated to a particular Local Health District, CCIs may be asked to support other Local Health Districts that need additional support. This position is initially designated as a remote position requiring telework, though on-site work requirements could change in the future and the position may require on-site work for certain Local Health Districts. Additional responsibilities may include providing flexible assistance during surges of COVID-19 cases or contacts, staff turnover, backlog of data entry, and after hours or weekend coverage. The CCI is a technologically savvy public health professional responsible for conducting case investigations and contact tracing efforts in order to interrupt ongoing disease transmission within the assigned District.

Truly, the base-level employees felt a mixed bag of experiences - like having a terrible or a great high school teacher. I saw some teams have amazing experiences and comradery, and other teams hating their job daily, and leaving for the next job that would take them. Unfortunately, they also failed to gauge their employees’ happiness and their review process allowed for at least 5 different employees to have continued high stress before and after they brought their supervisor’s absolutely unprofessional conduct to attention of the management. They believe in hearing out their employees, giving time off for wellbeing and health, hired with a shrewd eye, provide actual education at hiring and continue to do so during your employment, and earnestly strive and succeed in providing excellent contracted employees to help the world be a better place.
